First Global Digital Ecosystem Conference 2022 concludes successfully

Placed under the theme “New technologies, new format, new modelparticipants explored the path of digital development, according to the press release from the organizers of this 2022 Global Digital Ecosystem Conference.

The first Digital Ecosystem Global Conference 2022, organized by the Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government and the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, was held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center on December 13, 2022.

During one of the main sessions of the Global Digital Commerce Expo (GDTE), around 20 guest speakers and around 300 national and international professionals spoke at the venue, alongside guests from the embassies and consulates of New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand, Holland, Egypt and Belgium, and participants from 30 countries and regions that joined the online debates.

Hu Zhenfang, Deputy Director of Commerce Department of Zhejiang Province, Xu Qingshan, Deputy Secretary General of Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government, and Gong Kangkang, Vice President of Informa Asia and General Manager of China Region, delivered speeches . opening ceremony, highlighting the event’s important role in promoting the development of digital commerce in Zhejiang and showing its ambition for the event to become a platform for internationally influential exchanges and collaborations.

Mrs. Gong, Vice President of Informa Asia and Li Jian, President of Hangzhou Expo Group, signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the joint construction of a global digital commerce portalunder which the two companies will integrate global business capabilities, helping the province build a global digital business hub in Hangzhou.

During the second set of sessions, Tan Jianrong, member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a keynote address, followed by guest speakers who discussed the best approaches to promote the sustainable growth of the digital ecosystem and digital economy.

During the sessions, project managers from global digital transformation giants explored many aspects of the development journey, trends and application scenarios for digital technologies.

The GDTE is a key initiative created in 2020 by the State Council under the Zhejiang Pilot Free Trade Zone expansion plan. The GDTE is a significant project designed to build a national digital commerce and exchange platform with an international presence that demonstrates successes in building a digital economy; it is currently the only official global business meeting in China that addresses the topic of digital commerce approved by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.

The first GDTE was held at Hangzhou International Expo Center from December 11 to 14, 2022. The event was supported by the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province and the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and organized by the Hangzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province and the Department of Business Development of the Ministry of Commerce.

The first Global Digital Ecosystem Conference is an essential part of the GDTE with the aim of stimulating exchanges and collaborations between the upstream and downstream segments of the digital commerce industrypromote the diversity of the sustainable digital ecosystem and ensure that China remains on track to become a strong and sustainable digital economy by leveraging the Yangtze River Delta’s competitive talent pool and assets in the areas of digital technology, e-commerce, AI and fintechs .
