His Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duke and the Minister of the Economy thus participated in a breakfast on 10 November for the official launch of the Benelux Catalyst start-up acceleration program🇧🇷 organized in partnership with the Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce of New York BelCham.

Internationalization program focused on the United States, Benelux Catalyst allows six start-ups each year (one from Luxembourg − Gamma AR, two from Belgium and three from the Netherlands) to discover the New York ecosystem, so they can start making contacts commercials there and verify that your product is suitable for the American market. For two weeks, the selected start-ups follow an intense program in New York that consists of workshops, classes and one-on-one sessions on topics such as business development, user interface, fundraising and pitching with experts, locals, mentors and peers.

His Royal Highness the Hereditary Grand Duke and Franz Fayot, in his capacity as Minister for Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, visited the United Nations Headquarters, where they met with Amina Mohammed, UN Under-Secretary-General and Chair of the Sustainable Development Group. of the United Nations.

The day continued with the Luxembourg Space Finance 2022 event, organized by the Luxembourg Space Agency to celebrate the latest achievements and progress of Luxembourg’s space ecosystem. Following the opening speeches by the Hereditary Grand Duke and the Minister of Economy, a roundtable brought together representatives from Orbital Ventures, Redwire, RRE Ventures and Kleos Space to discuss and identify investment gaps and the challenges faced by companies and investors. The event also aimed to strengthen the network and cooperation in this sector between Luxembourg and, more broadly, the European Union, on the one hand, and the United States, on the other. It gathered about 200 people.

For her part, Health Minister Paulette Lenert traveled to Washington by train for an interview with Kaiser Permanente to discuss the integration of new technologies to improve patient care, through a holistic view of medicine and data analysis.

The stay ended with a reception at the Luxembourg House, where the offices of the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office and the Luxembourg Consulate General in New York are located.
