Decathlon and Lizee: Renting Instead of Buying!

Decathlon has launched a new service in partnership with start-up Lizee, winner of last year’s Fevad Start Me up contest, which offers better accessibility to its camping products, ensuring their durability. Instead of buying camping equipment, customers can rent tents. The service was tested in April 2020 and made available everywhere in France in May 2021. The company wants to continue this service in France in 2022 and duplicate it in Belgium and other countries in the coming years.

Happy coffe is a café-restaurant company that has the particularity of employing and training people with mental or cognitive disabilities. The first Café Joyeux opened its doors in December 2017 in Rennes and since then another 5 have opened in Paris, Bordeaux and Lisbon. To finance the opening of cafes, a brand of coffee beans was launched for individuals and companies. In 2022, the company wants to open 6 new cafes and in the coming years it will open more internationally.

It was Sophie Cluzel, Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, responsible for People with Disabilities, who presented this award.

The Jury also awarded the Best E-commerce Hope Award to three winners. This Award highlights the most promising venues in the eyes of the Jury. In its judgment, the Jury takes into account the personality of the project leaders and the ability of the teams to develop and support it. This award represents an important springboard for the winners, offering them a particular visibility with the actors of the ecosystem and, often, constitutes a true accelerator of growth.
