people’s electric car upgrade

The least we can say is that the Tesla Model 3 been wanted in France and Europe for some time, but since its commercial launch in 2019, is a real success in the electric car segment.

The design of the Tesla Model 3

The Tesla 3 is based on the aesthetic of its younger sister, the Tesla Model S, a sedan with a cropped silhouette that is somewhat reminiscent of Porschewhile offering its own strong features.

The biggest aesthetic specificity of the Tesla 3 is its imposing glass roof that runs from the windshield to the rear of the sedan. It offers extraordinary brightness as well as improved aerodynamics.

The sedan’s interior may surprise some with its extreme simplicity, on-board instruments are reduced to an imposing and single touch screen.

The Tesla Model 3 is designed to accommodate 5 passengers and offers a 545 liters of storage space which is divided between the trunk (425 liters), under the floor (70 liters) and under the front hood (50 liters).

The 2021 model it is equipped with new rims, new very successful black moldings, as well as new storage spaces in the cabin.

Three versions of the sedan are offered in France:

the batteries

The Tesla company remains very discreet about the capacity of its batteries. LFP type, lithium-ion batteries offer capabilities 60 kWh for the Model 3 2022 at 82 kWh for long-range, high-performance models.

According to some rumours, the batteries’ ability to the Model 3 will never reach 100 kWh and that for a very simple reason: the vehicle was not designed to receive such large batteries. These large 100 kWh batteries are reserved for higher models like the Model S and Model X.

In Europe, Tesla has equipped its Model 3s with standard combination CCS for fast charging. This connector has been installed in the manufacturer’s stations for some time, but it is also compatible with the terminals of other operators, such as Lonity, Sodetrel or Fastned.

Offering a rate of up to 250 kW, Model 3 can resume 80% charge in 30 minutes globally. Please note that these performances are currently reserved for the Performance and Long Autonomy versions only. In relation to the basic version, it cannot exceed a charging power of 170 kW. About slow or fast charging, Tesla Model 3 is on board a type 2 connector, the AC charging power is then limited to 11 kW in three-phase.
